Lucasfilm unveiled details on three upcoming Star Wars titles during the D23 Expo in Brazil, leaving fans anticipating new adventures set in the iconic universe.
Actor Jude Law kicked off the presentation in a pre-recorded video, introducing “Skeleton Crew,” a brand-new Star Wars series that will premiere on Disney+ on December 3, 2024, with its first two episodes. Law, who stars in the series, gave fans a glimpse of what to expect from this exciting new journey, which is set to expand the Star Wars galaxy and offer a fresh perspective on familiar lore.
Next, fans were treated to an appearance by B2 EMO, the lovable droid from “Andor,” as the anticipation grew for the show’s critically acclaimed return. Rolling onto the stage to wild applause, B2 EMO represented Season Two of the Emmy-nominated series, which has captivated audiences with its thrilling narrative and deep character development. The audience received an exclusive sneak peek of the season, which will premiere on Disney+ on April 22, 2025. Season Two promises to follow Cassian Andor’s evolution from soldier to hero across 12 episodes, bringing the story to its climactic finale as he, and those around him, navigate the final years leading up to the events of Rogue One. In another pre-recorded message, director Jon Favreau and producer Dave Filoni introduced “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” an upcoming feature film that will continue the journey of the fan-favorite duo. Currently in production, the film is slated to open in theaters on May 22, 2026, and will star Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver.
