Luffy Is A Captive Of Prison Island In One Piece World Seeker Trailer

The adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates are never-ending. As evidenced by the nearly 1,000 chapters, over a dozen films, stage play, and countless other adaptations, there is always room for Luffy and his crew to take on some side quests while on their journey to Raftel, where the world’s greatest treasure lies.

In the trailer for the latest One Piece game, One Piece World Seeker, we see Luffy is being held captive on the floating Prison Island. While the circumstances aren’t exactly clear, it looks like his adventures will put him face to face against his many foes, including Rob Lucci, Akainu, Aokiji, Fujitora, and Kizaru, among many others. Compared to recent video game entries in the franchise, it looks like they’re going for a much more cinematic approach this time around.

Below is the official synopsis for One Piece World Seeker:

“New faces set foot on One Piece World Seeker‘s island!
The huge flying fortress you can see flying on top of it received new support from the admirals Fujitora and Kizaru but what could be worth deploying such a powerful army?”

Based on previous news regarding the game, it looks like World Seeker will utilize an unprecedented open world-type world for the franchise, which I think will add a lot to a franchise that revolves so much around world-building.

I, for one, will be very much looking forward to checking this game out. One Piece World Seeker hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
