Luis Prieto is the director of the new film Shattered. A story about deception and greed.
The Synopsis
In the tradition of Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct comes this dazzling action thriller starring Academy Award Nominee John Malkovich (RED) and Frank Grillo (Avengers: Endgame). As lonely tech millionaire Chris (Cameron Monaghan, “Shameless”) encounters charming, sexy Sky (Lilly Krug, “Every Breath You Take“), passion grows between them. And when he’s injured, she quickly steps in as his nurse. But Sky’s odd behavior makes Chris suspect that she has more sinister intentions, especially when Sky’s roommate is found dead from mysterious causes.

Luis Prieto came to the US to attend the California Institute of the Arts for his masters degree. Shortly after he started taking part in short films and documentaries. His first short film, Bamboleho won over 45 awards. Three years later he made his debut with a full length film Condón Express. His work has been seen in other films like Ho Voglia Di Te, Kidnap, Pusher and Netflix White Lines.

I spoke to Luis Prieto via Zoom to talk about the making of Shattered. He spoke about filming in Montana and having a chance to work with John Malkovish and Frank Grillo. In addition, to his upcoming projects, the series Toda La Sangre and Vampire Academy.
Shattered will be available in select theaters, digital and On-Demand January 14, 2022.
