Actor Luke Evans recently spoke with Screen Rant and expressed his desire to one day return the Fast & Furious franchise. Evans has played Owen Shaw, the brother of Jason Statham’s character, Deckard Shaw, in three of the Fast & Furious movies:
“I would be very happy to be involved with them, yes. Fast and Furious has been part of my life now for about four year — more than that. I literally just left the NBC studios and one of the security guys said, ‘Nice to meet you, Owen Shaw.’ He called me by my bad guy’s character. Not just the first, but the second name. The character really resonates and stuck with people. So I’m in my head very connected to the franchise and very happy he was back in The Fate of the Furious, so who knows? Let’s see. Anything can happen as we know.”

Fast & Furious has been in the news quite a bit lately, with continuing actor feuds and the news of the franchise’s first spinoff movie on the way, the series is far from being over. A spinoff is set for Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham’s characters, Hobbs and Shaw, so there is a good chance we could see Evans show up in that film. Personally, I became a bigger fan of the franchise when the focus shifted from street racing to the group being sort of a vigilante heist team, but that’s just me.
