Kevin McCallister was my hero growing up, and I’m sure I wasn’t alone. Many other kids in the ’90s dreamed of keeping a band of burglars out using a bunch of low-tech booby traps, and it’s because of those amazing Home Alone films — the first two, not that god-awful third one or whatever stupid sequels they’ve come up with since.
It’s the film franchise that put Macaulay Culkin on the map and made him a child star. Of course, as it did with many child stars, the industry kind of chewed him up and spit him out. But it looks like he’s back on the map, and has gone on to embrace his roots! This week alone has seen him indulge in not just one, but two videos. The first is an ad for Google, where he reenacts his most iconic scenes from that first film, except this time he’s using Google products to make it happen. Yeah, it reeks of consumerism, but I’m a nerd, so I’ll take it.
#heygoogle Have you ever wondered what Kevin McCallister is like as an adult? Me neither. But just in case you’re curious you should totally watch this #ad pic.twitter.com/uO9qMPrUT3

The other video reeks less of consumerism but is cheesier than Kevin McCallister’s delicious cheese pizza. In it, he shows up alongside the Angry Video Game Nerd to indulge in many a crappy Home Alone game — and yeah, there are a lot. If you’re unfamiliar with the Angry Video Game Nerd series, let it be known that it has NSFW language, so depending on where you are, you may want to either hold off watching it or at least put on headphones.
