Mad Max is an awesome franchise. I always enjoy a good post-apocalyptic film. With director George Miller again in charge of the next installment, Furiosa, there is much to look forward to. Miller and Nick Lathouris, co-writer of Fury Road, created origins for all of the characters. Even with doing so, Furiosa’s background is still extremely vague. Miller’s upcoming prequel looks to change that.
Some major casting news recently broke. Originally Miller considered using de-aging technology for Charlize Theron to return as a much younger version of Furiosa. After further thought, he decided to cast a younger actress. Anya Taylor-Joy will be the individual playing that younger version (yes, my pun in the title is cringe-worthy). This could be an interesting addition. She has displayed some of her diversity as an actress in Split, Glass, Emma, The New Mutants, and Peaky Blinders.
I am assuming that Miller will shed some light on Furiosa’s time as war leader and her interactions with Immortan Joe however, only time will tell!
Joining Taylor-Joy will be Chris Hemsworth (Avengers, Thor, Star Trek) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman, The Matrix 4, Candyman). While there is not much detail regarding the roles they will play, they do add even more quality to the project.

What do you think of the casting choices for Furiosa? Is Taylor-Joy a good choice for the lead role? Who do you think Hemsworth and Abdul-Mateen II will be playing? Leave your thoughts in the usual spot, and thanks for reading!
