According to some new Barside Buzz, Mahershala Ali’s Blade is rumored to make his debut in Avengers: Secret Wars. This comes from Jeff Sneider on this week’s edition of The Hot Mic. Oddly not one of his scoops, but part of the Streamlabs question section. You can watch for yourself below and the timestamp is 01:19:00.
However, the gist is that the question got onto Marvel and that currently the only movie they’re casting for is X-Men. Co-host John Rocha said, the current movies are more about everyone coming back that we’ve seen before. Sneider has a mischievous look as he suggests someone we haven’t seen in the MCU yet would show up. He clearly hints at Ali through his Oscar wins and leaves it there.
It sounds like he’s heard Ali is in Secret Wars, but doesn’t want to outright stake his rep on that claim yet. Or is maybe spilling some stuff he said he wouldn’t, who knows?

The last we heard rumor wise, was that Ali would appear as Blade within Midnight Sons, which is far more likely to get made than a solo Blade movie. I think we all therefore assumed that would be his debut, post-Secret Wars.
Ali was announced as Blade years ago and his solo movie has never happened. If it had happened when it was supposed to, chances are Ali would be in these Avengers movies. Perhaps getting him into Secret Wars helps tie him in to the role long term?
A lot of guess work on my part here, but the rumor is the rumor, so judge for yourself.
