According to a new piece of Barside Buzz, it seems Mando S4 could film as early as Fall this year. Plus some insiders are claiming Boba Fett returns to the MandoVerse. It’s just, no one is 100% on where Fett shows up, yet? All this information comes form a recent report by MSW. Not perhaps the most popular insider, but an outlet with a very good hit rate for Star Wars leaks.

Essentially, sources at Lucasfilm have been able to confirm to the outlet that they are working on things for the character of Boba Fett. You know, ships, armor and other unnamed connections. It seems those the outlet spoke to initially felt this was work for The Book of Boba Fett Season 2. However it seems that isn’t clear.
The second part of this report is they have information Mando S4 will film this October. One then has to wonder whether Fett shows up in Season 4, or whether we are getting a second season of Boba Fett? As said, the outlets sources could not be 100% either way on what they were working on. It actually seems like they’ve not been told.
It seems obvious Fett would return eventually. However not necessarily in his own show. The Book of Boba Fett was okay in parts, but others parts were like something out a kids movie. It’s amazing that a Boba Fett show is the lightest in tone of any live-action show produced by Disney yet. Go darker if you’re doing more Boba Fett seasons, please.

As for Mando S4, it may seem quick, however there are factors at work here.
First off creator John Favreau has already revealed he has written The Mandalorian Season 4. See this video interview Here. We also know per his comments that he was waiting to see what happened in Ahsoka before writing S4 and finishing the filming of Skeleton Crew.
Yet the outlet referenced in this article also claim a big reason for the rush is an upcoming WGA strike. As you’ll know when this happens it stops any on the shoot rewrites from being able to happen (as the writers are on strike). If the strike goes ahead then there will be delays for all studios. However at least Disney may have some credit in the bank if filming is completed on Mando, and who knows, maybe even a new Boba Fett Season?
So, Mando S4 could film as early as Fall this year and it may feature Boba Fett’s return to the MandoVerse. Or, we could be looking at The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 also? What do you think of this latest Barside Buzz around the MandoVerse? Thoughts below as always.
