Margot Robbie Thinks Harley Quinn Will Be Back On Screen “Quite Soon”

While she appeared in several TV shows before, Margot Robbie landed her first real big break with 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street, since then, the actress has been showing up all over the place. Robbie has several credits on IMDb that are either just announced or in pre-production, so the actress is going to be very busy for the foreseeable future.

Three of those are DC films, and fans are wondering how soon we will see Robbie’s Harley Quinn on screen again — and which of the 87 films in development it will be. In speaking with Colliderthe actress shed some light on when fans might see the psychiatrist-turned-supervillain in a film again:

“I think we’re very close, actually. Everyone has been working really hard, myself included, to get Harley back on screen. I think it will be quite soon. There’s so much more to explore with her. I can’t wait! I hope next year, but with bigger films, it takes a lot longer to get it all up and running.”

I wasn’t super impressed with Suicide Squad. I think the supernatural villain was a mistake. The squad should have been assembled for something more down to earth, like a big heist. I did enjoy Will Smith’s Deadshot, and was ok with Robbie’s Harley Quinn, though, I think the character must have her trademark voice and accent, no matter how annoying it may become.

Robbie can now be seen in her latest film, I, Tonya, in which she portrays disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding, in a film detailing one of the most bizarre incidents to ever happen in the sport of figure skating.
