Mariel Molino, Jon Ecker and Aliyah Royale take part in the mystery in The Watchful Eye.

The Synopsis

The Watchful Eye cast is led by Mariel Molino (Promised Land), who plays Elena Santos, a bright, savvy young woman hired as the live-in nanny to a wealthy widower and his young son. When Elena moves into The Greybourne, a landmark Manhattan apartment building, she quickly learns about the complex politics among its wealthy inhabitants and a history riddled with mystery and tragedy. Luckily, Elena is more than equipped to handle anything that comes her way on her own terms. Warren Christie (The Village) plays Matthew, a self-made architect dealing with grief and confusion over his wife’s death and its impact on his young son. Kelly Bishop (Gilmore Girls) portrays Mrs. Ivey, a lifelong resident of The Greybourne who rules the roost and is accustomed to getting her way through a potent combination of wealth, power and sheer force of will.

Before Mariel Molino there was Mariel Chantal who grew up in San Diego, California. The actress opted for Molino as a stage name in honor of El Molino family bakery. The business she is thankful to along with her mother for being able to provide for her to achieve her acting career. The Mexican-American actress has been juggling her time between Spanish and English projects. Some of the popular Spanish content is Papis Muy Padres, El Juego de Las Llaves and Miguel: The Series. As for some of the English projects there is Quarter Life Coach and the recent ABC’s Promised Land

The young Ecker was born in the state of Texas and pursued a degree in Aquatic Biology from UCSB in California. However, after graduating he decided to relocate to Mexico City to try for an acting career. His early projects were in telenovelas like Nina de mi Corazón, La Fuerza del Destino, Gossip Girl: Acapulco,  including the Cantinflas movie. Some of his projects after transitioning into the English market include Netflix’s Narcos, Firefly Lane, Paramount+ Criminal Minds, USA’s Queen of the South among several others.
