The Infinity Saga is officially over, Spider-Man: Far From Home which dealt with the fallout from Avengers: Endgame and the sacrifice of Natasha Romanoff and Tony Stark, capped off the finale of the story that has been building over 23 movies. The MCU will carry on, but what the next ‘Saga’ will be is anyone’s guess for now?

Black Widow and Eternals will kick off Phase 4 of the MCU in 2020, but in the meantime, Marvel wants to celebrate this phenomenal achievement. On the heels of a massive Infinity Saga branded re-release of all the movies, Marvel showed an Infinity Saga trailer at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, but unless you were there, you didn’t get to see it. Now as you can see above, and probably have already watched, you can.

The most interesting thing about this trailer, and I’m not sure if it was intentional, was the specific voice-over lines of Vision as Spider-Man was shown on screen. Vison says “A thing isn’t beautiful because it lasts.” just as Spider-Man is on screen in Civil War. Now, I admit maybe that’s just coincidence, but we can be sure Marvel was aware of the Spider-Man situation before this trailer was cut, so who knows? Maybe it’s another hint that we are just going to have to accept that what we got from Spider-Man in the MCU is all we are going to get.

Still a damn shame and I feel like Phase 4 and on, will never be quite as good as it should have been had this version of Peter Parker gotten to mature into a leader and a hero as it progressed. However, that doesn’t mean we don’t have some great and epic storylines still to come, and we can be thankful that the likes of X-Men and Fantastic Four are now back with their creators at least.

What do you think of the trailer, and do you think the next saga can be as epic as the Infinity Saga? Share your thoughts in the usual spot below.
