Marvel Rumor Roundup: Agatha Season 2, Vision Quest And Annihilus In Nova | Barside Buzz

Today's Marvel Rumor Roundup includes Buzz for Agatha All Along Season 2, Vision Quest and Annihilus as the villain of the Nova series.

Today’s Marvel Rumor Roundup includes Buzz for Agatha All Along Season 2, Vision Quest and Annihilus as the villain of the Nova series. The information today all comes from Daniel RPK on his Patreon service. Daniel says that Agatha all Along Season 2 is close to being greenlit. Now, that does that mean the show would be called Agatha All Along Season 2? I’m not sure myself, but we will wait and see. The ending of Agatha certainly teased a search for Tommy as the next step.

I’d watch Season 2, it was definitely one of Marvel’s better series and made on a strict budget.

Next up we have what many refer to as the end of a trilogy. A trilogy that began with WandaVision, carried forward into Agatha and will conclude somewhat in Vision Quest. Though Agatha showrunner Jac Schaeffer isn’t involved in Vision Quest, she knew enough to talk of it as the third part. However, even if thematically Vision Quest is the next step, there is no reason Agatha Season 2 cannot happen.

As for Vision Quest, Daniel says he’s heard that both Paul Bettany and James Spader will appear in the show as the Human versions of Vision and Ultron. Characters they already play/voiced in android form. This would match a trade report that said they were unsure if Spader would appear in voice only or in person. A curious thing to say for a role which was previously voice only.

Lastly another in development Disney+ series is Nova. The show is not yet at the point of moving into production, but Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum seems please with development. Daniel claims that he’s heard from a source that Annihilus will be the main villain of the Nova series.

This rumor has displeased some Marvel fans who think Annihilus is too big a villain for a TV series. However, I disagree. Annihilus could be the next ‘Big Bad’ of the Mutant Saga, or one of them. Therefore, having the character teased in a series before the threat is known to the wider MCU makes perfect sense for me. It worked for Kang, until the Majors thing happened. Imagine the character then showing up again in a Fantastic Four sequel before something like an Avengers: Annihilation event movie.

However, especially with Nova, let’s wait and see once production starts. Which, I’m guessing now won’t be till after Doomsday and Secret Wars are done.
