The man behind the MCU came to the D23 Expo bearing gifts! Today we got an official announcement for Black Panther 2 (Not the official title), Black Widow footage, and The Eternals cast and art.

Black Panther 2 director Ryan Coogler said he turned in the first draft of the film while on stage. The film was also revealed to be hitting the big screen on May 6th, 2022. There is no official title yet, but Kevin and Ryan said that this film won’t have a numerical title.

There was a special message from the cast of Black Widow including Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, and Florence Pugh. Johansson’s Natasha was seen in a white jumpsuit. Our very own James Burns described the footage as very “Bourne” like. This film hits May 1st, 2020.

There’s been a lot of rumors and excitement surrounding The Eternals as with all MCU films. We got some official announcements during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con including characters and release date, but today we got some art showing off much of the cast in costume. Kit Harington was also revealed to be in the film, which shot down all of your Wolverine hopes and dreams from earlier this week. This film hits on November 6th, 2020.

Unfortunately, there was no news about the split between Sony and Marvel over Spider-Man.
