.While Marvel Studios was busy making its massive Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Television was building its own set of heroes in a couple of neighborhoods in New York. This all kicked off in 2015 with Daredevil on Netflix. Then in 2016 we saw a second season, and finally a third in 2018. With Disney getting ready to launch its own streaming service, they had no intention to keep any of their properties on Netflix. Thus Daredevil was canceled along with the rest of the Marvel series like Luke Cage, The Punisher, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist.

Like the Release The Snyder Cut crew, there has also been a group trying to go get Daredevil back on television. With so many distractions these days it’s been easy to forget that Netflix canceled the series eighteen months ago. This is great news for Daredevil fans. It means that at this point we are six months away from Marvel Studios regaining the rights to the character.

To commemorate the checkpoint (for the lack of a better term), the Save Daredevil Instagram account reminded everyone about the 355,000 signatures they have collected. With that they hope to generate enough interest to persuade Marvel Studios to bring back Matt Murdock. You can check out the post below.

Daredevil was a fantastic series. My only criticism of it was that I wanted to see more of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in the courtroom. With Marvel Studios developing series like Moon Knight and She-Hulk it would be fantastic to see the Man Without Fear back in Hell’s Kitchen.

It’s exciting that Daredevil is not the only character that would be making his way back to Marvel Studios. In theory Luke Cage and Jessica Jones could be picked up first followed by Iron Fist and then Daredevil. The Punisher was the last series that got the can it can’t be picked up until next year.
