Marvel: The Earliest We Could Expect X-Men/Fantastic Four Integration Is 2021, New Report Says

Early this morning saw a union of two big studios: Walt Disney and 20th Century Fox. Honestly, in the grand scheme of things, this is probably very bad news for consumers, but it’s hard not to at least be a little bit excited about things to come from a geek-centric perspective. In terms of the comic book stuff, we will be seeing the X-Men and Fantastic Four return to Marvel.

With Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige still on board the ship, it’s only a matter of time before we see these characters jump into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but how long do we have to wait. I know fans have been hoping they’d see some action in preparation of the acquisition, but the simple fact is that no action could legally be taken until the whole thing was a done deal.

Now, THR is reporting that the earliest we can likely see anything is 2021, barring there being an unknown script sitting over there at the studio. But the reality is, there are a lot of projects already in the works, including Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, so it’s not as though they’re lacking in content.

Given the wealth of characters Marvel Studios already has to work with, do you still wish these big characters can be integrated much earlier? Let us know down below!
