With Once Upon a Time in Hollywood dropping a poster two days in a row, I was settling in not to get a new trailer for the movie for another day or two. It’s a Quentin Tarantino movie, after all, so it’s likely to have an ensemble of talented actor for them to make posters of. You can imagine my surprise when I opened my email and this morning and saw the new trailer for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I immediately set my ass at my desk and checked out what it had to offer.

Would this be a film that could ultimately stand toe to toe with the many other fantastic Tarantino movies out there, or would it crumble into nothingness like Death Proof? Well, given the subject matter (Hollywood), I’m more inclined to think the former, as I love Hollywood and Tarantino loves Hollywood. You can check out my full reaction above.

But that wasn’t the only trailer to hit earlier today. In addition to Tarantino’s latest, we also got Stranger Things 3, the third season of the beloved Netflix series, which sees our heroes in Hawkins, Indiana growing ever-so-slightly older and going through their awkward teenage years. Never has the coming of age aspect of the series been more apparent as it has here, with the kids seeming to have grown a foot between this season and the last.

I’m also happy to say that the trailer, while not mindblowing, seems to be a solid step in the right direction. That’s not to say I disliked the last couple seasons, but there is always opportunity for serious missteps for popular series like this, and based on this trailer, they didn’t lose what made the first two seasons strong.
