“MAYANS M.C.” — “Self Portrait in Blue Bathroom” — Season 4, Episode 3 (Airs April 26) Pictured: Clayton Cardenas as Angel Reyes. CR: Prashant Gupta/FX.
We are well into the fourth season of Mayans M.C. on FX. Every week it seems that the stakes are getting higher and higher. What at the beginning of the season looked like a civil war between the Santo Padre and the rest of the club has turned much bigger. An old threat has returned in The Sons of Anarchy and now any move they make could be deadly. But the issues of the club are not the only ones that these characters are haunting them. Throughout these past few seasons, we have seen how each of them has their own demons that they are trying to fight. Some have been more successful than others.
One fan-favorite character to keep a close eye on this season is Clayton Cardenas’ Angel Reyes. Since season one we have seen how he and his brother EZ Reyes, played by JD Pardo, have navigated through the madness that has been Mayans M.C. Now with Angel’s brother as the Vice President of the club, he seems to be having some second thoughts about how important the club is to him. The perspective of seeing one of his few loved ones sink further and further into that lifestyle is definitely having an effect on him.

To share more about Angel Reyes on Mayans M.C. LRM Online’s Emmanuel Gomez spoke with Clayton Cardenas about his role. He shares with us his thoughts on the evolution of Angel. He praises Elgin James and the rest of the team for the fantastic job at crafting his character. His relationship with his brother and father, as well as the perspective of being a one himself. One interesting thing we talked about was his method of acting and he takes us back all the way to the great Charlie Chaplin! It was a great conversation that you can check out down below!
