This is the latest MCU roundup covering rumors for Eternals 2, Sylvie’s new role, Hiddleston will return and maybe Spider-Man 4 in 2025. The following rumors come from a two different sources, though most from Alex P of TCC, who has a pretty good hit rate. However, let’s start with Eternals 2.
According to Daniel RPK on his Patreon, Eternals 2 is moving ahead in early development and Richard Madden will return as Ikaris. (Probably not the same Ikaris if you’ve seen Eternals.) However, early development doesn’t mean a movie has been greenlit and Eternals didn’t do so well. Though, can Marvel just ignore some pretty big plot points they set up in that movie? If we do see Eternals 2, it’s going to be a very different move from the first one I’ll bet. But surely we have to get it at some point?
Moving onto the future of two characters from the recently finished Loki Season 2. According to Alex P, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) will return, but perhaps not until the very end of the Multiverse Saga. It had been guessed by fans that perhaps Hiddeslton was steeping away after Loki. That’s based on a few comments he made about this being the end point of 14 years playing Loki. Character arc wise, I think Loki’s finale just completes Loki’s arc magnificently. Therefore, I kinda get why this could be the end. However, at the same time, You’d guess Hiddleston would be required for at least Secret Wars. No?

As for Loki’s alt self, the female version Sylvie, Alex P says she will be the one doing what everyone assumed Loki would do. i.e. run the TVA and recruit heroes from the Multiverse to fight Kang.

Interestingly another regular Marvel leaker, MTTSH also said she heard Hiddleston would return as Loki, eventually.
Now let’s get onto Spider-Man 4 and Alex P says that he’s still hearing it is set to release In June, 2025. Since Spider-Man is a licence to print money in theatres, I’m sure Marvel and Sony will be keen to make sure they pick the best date they can.
The same source also says that Spider-Man 4 needs to come out after Daredevil: Born Again and before Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
I’m indicating where Sony currently has it slated. And they have chosen not to move that date when Venom 3 was pushed.
Therefore, Sony thinks it has the chance to make that release date.

A few other bits from this source hint that Nightcrawler may appear in Deadpool 3 and that there is a Young Avengers movie brewing. However, with the latter of those, I think we all could say that given the teases so far.
