Meet Ember and Wade In The New Disney/Pixar Trailer And Posters For Elemental

Elemental

Disney Pixar has released a brand-new trailer for their upcoming animated feature, “Elemental”. This film takes Pixar back to the “what if” films that moviegoers had grown accustomed to like “Inside Out”, “Wall-E”, and so many others. Exploring objects, ideas, characters, and places and turning them into heartfelt stories.

In “Elemental” we are transported to an extraordinary place called, Element City. Here elements including Water, Air, Earth, and Fire live together but also separate. You can check out the trailer below that showcases these elements. The film premieres in theaters on June 16.

The trailer for “Elemental” introduces us to some of the film’s characters that we are going get to know throughout the film. Along with the trailer, Disney/Pixar also released a set of character posters along with a little bit of information on them.

First, there is our main character Ember. She is a clever 20-something fire woman with a great sense of humor who loves her family but can be hot-headed at times.

Then there is Wade, an observant, empathetic, 20-something water guy who is not afraid to show his emotions—in fact, his emotions are hard to miss.

Probably the cutest of the bunch is Clod, a young, street-smart earth kid with a gentle heart who lives in Firetown and tends to show up whenever Ember is around.

Finally, there is Gale, an air element with a big personality, a lot of bluster and a fluffy pink complexion who is a serious superfan of an Air Ball team called the Windbreakers.

The voice cast for “Elemental” includes Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie as Ember and Wade, respectively, are Ronnie del Carmen as Ember’s soon-to-be retired dad, Bernie; Shila Ommi as Ember’s love-seeking mom, Cinder; Wendi McLendon-Covey as Wade’s stormy and Air-Ball-loving boss, Gale; Catherine O’Hara as Wade’s welcoming mom, Brook; Mason Wertheimer as Ember’s admiring earth neighbor, Clod; and Joe Pera as an overgrown city bureaucrat, Fern.

The film is directed by Peter Sohn.

Disney/Pixar‘s “Elemental” hits theaters on June 16.
