Ultimately LRM revealed that after being in talks for the role (KRT Scoop), Massoud has signed on for the role of Ezra Bridger. We also revealed that Grand Admiral Thrawn will be played by Lars Mikkelsen, who voiced the character in Rebels.

As far as we can tell, both of these actors will make their live-action Star Wars debuts in Ahsoka, the upcoming Disney+ series. Although going away back over a year, LRM also reported from our source that an Ezra/Thrawn show was on the way as well. Who knows, perhaps this is a show that will be announced in the tail end of Ahsoka, like The Book of Boba Fett was with The Mandalorian Season 2. After all, everything else we were told in that report came true, Ahsoka, The Book of Boba Fett and later from same source we got Rangers of the New Republic. Though, at the time all we were told was a show starring Gina Carrano. I’m sure you know things have changed there since.
Just speculation on my part for now on where we might hear about an Ezra/Thrawn show. So far we have heard no updates to that show from our sources. However, given how far out it would have been at the time, that’s also hardly surprising.
Obviously, if we do hear anything more solid about an Ezra/Thrawn show we will share it here. For now though, whilst not the final official look, this fan art may give you an idea of what to expect in the future of Star Wars on Disney+.
