According to the latest Barside Buzz, Mephisto is mentioned but not actually in Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Honestly, this is not that surprising, as I think any claims of a Mephisto appearance have always been centered around Ironheart rather than Agatha? However, that’s what insider CWGST is posting on Instagram.
“We’ll have to wait a bit longer to see Mephisto in the flesh, but we’ll at least get a mention of him.”
“I can exclusively confirm that Mephisto will NOT make an appearance in Agatha: Coven of Chaos. However, he IS mentioned in regards to Agatha’s son: Nicholas Scratch.”
It just so happens that I can exclusively reveal that Chris Evans Captain America IS NOT in Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Source, trust me bro. I’m being sarcastic of course because CWGST has a decent hit rate. I guess I’m just pointing out that I don’t recall any specific claims that Mephisto was ever in Agatha. Ergo, this is still a story, but I’d say the exclusive part is that the character is even mentioned rather than not appearing. I guess there is the chance I missed some legitimate rumors. If so, I don’t recall them and I do this every day. If it was a big rumor backed by many insiders I would remember it.
Where we do have some serious Mephisto rumors as said above is for Ironheart. Mephisto has long been rumored to be the power behind main antagonist The Hood. Rumors only for now of course, but those are the ones I’ve heard from multiple sources.

After what happened with WandaVision, it was always possible Marvel would try and connect Mephisto into Agatha. After all, despite those making the show’s claims otherwise, there really was a lot of little hints towards Mephisto. One thing Marvel is known for is capitalizing on the Easter eggs they didn’t even intend. If Mephisto is really coming in Ironheart, then it makes sense to tease a connection to Agatha and try and use the old hype to their advantage.
