Aquaman has been doing gangbusters at the cinema all over most of the world, but it only opened in Japan this weekend. Last month, video game industry legend, Hideo Kojima, recommended several movies that were coming to Japan between January and March of this year and James Wan’s DC flick made the cut.

The creator of Metal Gear Solid, Zone of the Enders and well-known cinephile even took time away from developing Death Stranding to give moviegoers his review of Aquaman. It seems only fair, as he’s seen it twice at this point.

Unfortunately, as of this writing, no english translation has been made available of the review. Given Kojima’s tweet in January, one can assume he certified the film fresh. We’ll be sure to update this space once a translation becomes available.
