Some new additions to the Jay and Silent Bob reboot as an Instagram post by director Kevin Smith informs us that rappers Method Man and Redman will have a scene in the film. Method Man and Redman will be nice additions to the film, even though the two are best known as rappers, they’re no strangers to the screen, having starred in their very own film in 2001’s How High and also had their own sitcom, Method and Red that unfortunately only lasted one season.
Method Man, of course, is a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, who in my opinion delivers a deeper and more intellectual style of rap. Redman, while not a member of the Wu-Tang Clan is also well established on the mic, the duo have released two albums together. You can check out Kevin Smith’s lengthy Instagram post below.

Wow, so if Kevin Smith can somehow get Cheech and Chong and Harold and Kumar to appear in the film, he will have assembled what is the most comprehensive ensemble of on-screen marijuana users to ever grace the screen. I for one am glad Smith has returned to comedy, and for the time being, left the horror genre alone (Tusk was f*****g disturbing).
If you liked the original film and are a fan of Smith’s work (which I did and I am) then you’re all for this reboot, and if you’re not, well then this film simply isn’t for you. Those of us who are in on the film won’t have to wait too long as the flick is eyeing a fall release.
