The journalist Michael Ausiello, probably never imagined he would one day be on the other end of an interview for his memoir, Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies. Now as a featured film, titled Spoiler Alert we see thirteen years of his life with his late husband, Kit Cowan.

The Synopsis

Based on Michael Ausiello’s best-selling memoir, Spoiler Alert is a heartwarming, funny, and life- affirming story that follows the 14-year love affair between entertainment journalist Michael (Jim Parsons, “The Big Bang Theory”) and his photographer partner, Kit (Ben Aldridge, “Our Girl”). Through Kit, Michael discovers the family he was robbed of as a child, from Kit’s small town parents (Sally Field, “Forrest Gump” and Bill Irwin, “Rachel Getting Married”) to their extraordinary circle of Manhattan friends. And while Michael imagines his life unfolding like the plot of one of his favorite romantic comedies, even he can’t predict the twists and turns that will transform and deepen their relationship.

The New Jersey native, Michael Ausiello began as a news editor for Soaps in Depth that printed its final issue in December of 1999. In addition to working as a media relations coordinator for Entertainment Tonight. For eight years he fed the Today’s News and The Ausiello Report columns for TV Guide. Other outlets that the writer has been a part of are Today, Extra, Access Hollywood and Good Morning America among others. There have also been cameos in television series like Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars and Scrubs. Today he is the founder of TVLine.
