If you’re a fan of either the NBA or Jack Nicholson you’re likely aware that the Academy Award-winning actor is a huge Lakers Fan. I remember Nicholson having courtside seats since I was a child. And even though he hasn’t been seen at many games or really anywhere since he retired (though he was spotted at a game with his son back in January), Nicholson still owns the seats.
It turns out Jack Nicholson doesn’t just love basketball. It appears he has a borderline obsession with sports in general.
According to his Batman 1989 co-star, Michael Keaton, Nicholson likes sports so much he will watch most any type of competition. Keaton recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and talked about his time of the set (which was in London) with Nicholson, and his borderline obsession with sports.
“Back then, on the BBC, you couldn’t watch anything, so you would scramble around to watch any sports activity”
Keaton continued, saying Nicholson once walked into the makeup trailer and had the following to say.
“Damn good darts tournament last night.”

Keaton also said that back then the Lakers games had to be taped and then shipped over to Nicholson, who was adamant about no spoilers, which in the sports world is blurting out the final score. Oddly enough, I’ve been playing a good amount of darts lately. While it’s fun to play, I’m not sure I could sit and watch an entire competition. Although, I have no problem watching golf or poker (what I won’t watch is NASCAR) every once in a while. Darts seems like it would be a similar type of watch.
