The premise for MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES seem solid enough. Two frat-ish brothers are forced to bring dates to their sister’s wedding in hopes that it’ll rein them in from their usual shenanigans. The film also stars some seriously stellar talent. You have Zac Efron, who has spent the last few years re-branding himself as the go-to guy for raunchy comedies, as well as PARKS AND RECREATION star Aubrey Plaza, PITCH PERFECT lead Anna Kendrick, and the incredibly funny Adam Devine. 

In addition to their on-camera talent, they have Jake Szymanski at the helm. While he’s by no means a big name, he has his origins in FUNNY OR DIE and SNL, two skit-heavy shows. As such, one can assume that the film would at least bring the funny. 

What we got in the first trailer was something that had potential, but seemed to be going for it a bit too hard.

20th Century Fox has now released a red band trailer for the flick. Does this improve how the film looks?
