Mike Judge Agrees To Two-Year Deal With HBO

Variety is reporting that Mike Judge has agreed to a two-year deal with HBO. Judge will start off with two television series. A limited series titled A5, which to be sounds like a Black Mirror episode that was written by Judge. The series will focus on a bioengineer who has come upon the gene that, well, makes people act like a**holes. This is one of the more interesting as well as unusual premises for a elevision series I’ve heard in a while, will definitely give this series a shot.

The other project is called QualityLand, and has a hint of one of Judge’s other films (probably my favorite of his) ,Idiocracy. You can check out an official break down of the series down below.

“QualityLand is the very near future. It’s everything we have now, and more so. It’s the story of humanity’s struggle against the tyranny of convenience. But funny.”

Judge is widely-known for creating the animated series’ Beavis and Butthead, and the long-running King of the Hill. Perhaps his most well-known film is the cult classic Office Space. He is currently the showrunner of a popular series he helped create, Silicon Valley.
