ABC’s long-running hit series, Modern Family, will call it quits after Season 11. The comedy followed the stories of three sections of a family. Newly re-married grandfather Jay Pritchett, who married a much younger and attractive woman. The familes of Jay’s daughter Claire, and her brother Mitchell, who along with his partner Cameron, raise an adopted Vietnamese child.
Karey Burke, president ABC Entertainment:
“Chris and Steve have created one of the most seminal and iconic comedies in television history. In its final season, there will be more milestone events that anyone who has been a fan of the series won’t want to miss.”

While the show is brilliant and extends much further beyomdthe following description, but to me, the show has always felt like The Office, but in a home/family setting. While it does appear as if the family is having a documentary shot about them, it has never been confirmed why the family is being followed by cameras, or who they are talking to during the interview type scenes.
The seies has won five Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series, along with numerous other nominations and wins.
