Moon Knight Confirmed As Six Episode Series Plus Estimated Run Times

Evidence That George Clooney Did Direct A Moon Knight Episode?

With WandaVision starting this Friday, Marvel boss Kevin Feige has been talking to everyone. In this latest report we have Moon Knight confirmed as six episode series by Feige himself. Moon Knight was officially announced at the latest Disney Investor Day and will star Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector. It seems the MCU shows will not all follow one specific format. Feige himself has said that each show and whether they are limited, ongoing, 30 minutes or 45 minutes per episodes will vary according to each show.

Here is what Feige said when he spoke to Variety this week.

“It will vary. There are some shows that have been built to further expand our storytelling and then go into features. We’ve already announced Lizzie Olsen being a part of Doctor Strange 2. We’ve announced Teyonah Parris being part of Captain Marvel 2. There are some shows that, while always interconnected, are being built with multiple seasons in mind. So it’ll vary the way a lot of I think great TV now varies, whether it’s a couple of years between seasons of Game of Thrones or Stranger Things, or one offs like — what did I just watch? — Queen’s Gambit. One of the fun things about streaming is the rules are loose, which allows for you to just follow creatively, where you want to go.”

Moon Knight

However yesterday we also got a lot more specific information about Moon Knight when Feige spoke to The Ronin.

Feige told the outlet that Moon Knight would be six episodes long and the run time would be a little more than something like She-Hulk which is expected to ne 30 mins per episode. Instead, Feige says that Moon Knight will fall into the 40-45 min per episode category. So as Feige told Variety, as quoted above, each show is going to be different. Some Marvel shows will be 30 minutes, some could be 45, and some could be even longer than that again? Personally, this seems like a pretty smart approach to me rather than trying to have all Marvel shows unified in their approach.

Are you happy to hear Moon Knight confirmed as six episodes of 40-45 minutes? That should be around 4.5 hours worth of story in Season 1. I say Season 1, but we do not yet know whether Moon Knight is ongoing (my guess) or a one-off limited series.
