Moon Knight Finale Runtime Revealed And It Is shortest Episode So Far

According to the latest Barside Buzz, Moon Knight Season 2 will feature another Kang variant

The Moon Knight finale runtime has been revealed and it’s the shortest episode so far. Amit Chaudhari, who has always been bang on with runtimes for these Disney+ shows thus far, has posted that the Moon Knight finale runtime is 42 minutes. That would mean the shortest episode of Moon Knight so far and as you’d expect there are some fans complaining it won’t be long enough. I’m not sure how they work that one out? However, hey, that’s fans for you.

Chaudhari does point out the overall runtime will be more in countries that have dubbing credits, but the 42 minutes is including credits in English speaking territories. The previous shortest episode was the first which ran at 47 minutes. The most recent Episode 5 was second shortest episode at 49 minutes long. Considering the content squeezed into that last and quite excellent episode I have no worries imaging this story being wrapped up in a satisfying manner.

Episode 5 left us on a bit of a cliff hanger. I won’t say exactly what that was in case anyone is not yet up to date. But it’s going to be interesting to see exactly what happens when and if Marc returns to the world of the living. Has Ammit already been released? What has Layla been doing, and how long has Marc been ‘dead’ for?

I think the more important question for now is what happens next for Moon Knight in the MCU? This is a limited series, which means there are currently zero plans for a Moon Knight Season 2. However the show has been so good that fans definitely want to see more of Oscar Isaac as Moon Knight and his various personalities. So where will we see them next? Will we get a tease simply saying something like ‘Moon Knight Will Return’? Or, could we have a post-credit scene within that 42 minute runtime that teases where Moon Knight goes next? I mean there will be a post-credit scene obviously, but it may not tease Marc’s future?

I just hope we do get more Marc Spector, somewhere. The character is unique and I think Isaac has nailed it thus far.

What do you think of the Moon Knight finale runtime? What are your hopes for the finale and the future of Moon Knight? Sound off below or on our Discord server as always.
