In today’s Barside Buzz we are sharing some more Fantastic Four rumors including a possible further delay for the movie. But wait Cam, we literally just got an official release date and the movie was delayed from May till July. Yep, however accrding to some insiders it could end up slipping even later into 2025.
Everything we are discussing today is from The Insneider, i.e. Jeff Sneider. You need to subscribe to access all the news now, however I imagine Sneider will cover most of these on his next recording of The Hot Mic with John Rocha. As I subscribe to Sneider I can pass some news on earlier.
It’s also worth remembering that so far Sneider’s info on this movie has been on point. Even when you consider how crazy the casting process was for this one, Sneider had the inside line the whole way through.
Anyway, lets get to what he had to say.
According to Sneider Disney don’t want to release four Marvel movies in 1 year. Here therefore says to look potentially for Fantastic Four to move to November 2025 and Blade to 2026.I have to say, this makes a lot of sense to me given we are hearing rumors it could be as late as July or August before filming begins on this one. As for Blade rumor (from Sneider) is the script is now in a shape Mahershala Ali is happy to move head. However there will still be casting, set design and all kinds of set ups to begin before production starts. As yet there are no rumors as to when production may begin on Blade. If it slips till 2025, then the release date surely won’t be later that year?

I’ve been predicting this Summer will see a brand new slate for Marvel with new dates, and I still think that’s happening. Watch this space. Currently we have Captain America: Brave New World in February, Thunderbolts in May, Fantastic Four in July and Blade supposedly hitting in November. Only one of those movies is is production, though Thunderbolts is due to start in a week or two.
Next up Sneider says the same as what Joh Campea reported this week. Doom will appear in Fantastic Four, but only toward the end of the movie as a tease, he is not the main villain. Sneider also backs up other insiders that say Javier Bardem is currently Marvel’s top choice to play Galactus in the film. However, it’s not a done deal. Sneider says Bardem’s scheduling still has to fit with his work on Apple’s Formula 1 movie.
Oh, one final notes, Sneider has heard Bob Iger is allowing Marvel to have a lot more time to focus on individual projects compared to Bob Chapek.
What do you think of these latest Fantastic Four rumors, would you be bummed with another possible delay to the movie till November 2025? Thoughts below as always.
