This might be a stretch, but is this more hints at Spider-Verse in Spider-Man 3? We know that Jamie Fox’s Electro is showing up in the third MCU Spider-Man movie, and we know Doctor Strange is also. There has been a lot of speculation of a possible Spider-Verse story in Spider-Man 3. Fans have started to wonder whether Toby Maguire or Andrew Garfield could show up? Then I see this intriguing tweet from Rob Keys, who works for Screen Rant by the way. Check it out

Now something like this I’d normally expect to be followed by a story on Screen Rant. So far, nada. So I wonder whether this is simply Keys getting into the speculation game for Spider-Man 3? Or is he hinting that a story involving Andrew Garfield could be hitting at some point? I don’t know? Your guess is as good as mine for now.

It would make sense that if Jamie Fox’s Electro was showing up due to some multiverse shenanigans, so could Garfield’s Peter Parker. And yet while this all might seem obvious, so far there are no rumors saying this. No one had come out with a story saying, ‘our sources have told us’. This could all very well just be Rob Keys hyping the fans for speculative deduction rather than a concrete story? You decide for yourself on this one. As for my feelings if this is going Spider-Verse, I’m not sure I’m on board? Check out the Free Talk Friday article later today for my reasons behind that in more detail. However, I have concerns.
