Even after the better part of 30 years, Mortal Kombat is still one of the more popular video games. The game burst onto the arcade scene in the early 90s, grabbing the attention of almost every gamer. As well as the attention of their parents. Yes, Mortal Kombat is the reason we have the ESRB, as parents were very put off by elements of the game, mostly the fatalities.
The game only left its classic 2D format for one entry into the franchise which was, Mortal Kombat 4, which was 3D. However, some clever bastard has created a mod for Mortal Kombat 11, which turns the game into a first-person fighting game. You can check out the video below.

I have to say that’s pretty awesome. Provides an all-new and whole other element to the game. One day there may be a Mortal Kombat game where the players are wearing headsets and the bodysuit from Ready Player One, and perhaps your experience a little pinch or something when the other player hits you.
As most of you reading this article are well aware of, the franchise is finally getting a much deserved big-screen reboot. Fans have been waiting a long time to see the video game series be redeemed after the atrocious films of the 1990s.
The word from the set from a cast member says the production did not hold back on the fatalities, with the actor even saying some days he left the set feeling ill. Hopefully, the upcoming reboot will be good enough to make way for a Mortal Kombat Movie Universe. There’s plenty to explore within the franchise. The series also has considerable potential to bring in big bucks.
