New footage from the upcoming Mortal Kombat reboot has been released. Titled the “Sub-Zero VS Scorpion” trailer, the video features scenes that were shown in the first official trailer as well as a handful of new shots that show the two ninjas who are in my opinion the kore of the franchise, engaging in some, well, mortal kombat and are worth definitely worth watching. While I am interested in all of the kharacters, Sub-Zero and Scorpion are who I want to see try to kill each other the most.

I’ve been ready for this film since 1995. I remember walking out of the theater after having watched the original Mortal Kombat adaptation. wondering how Hollywood could turn such an awesome game into such an awful movie. This was my second experience with bad adaptations, with the atrocious Super Mario Bros film being the first.

Both films felt like they were made by people who had never played the games and we’re given a brief rundown of what they were about. I am excited for the reboot. And I am more than satisfied with everything I’ve seen, heard, and read. The film is shaping up to give the franchise the film adaptation it deserves, and the one the fans need.
