If you weren’t happy with the character breakdowns for the upcoming Mortal Kombat reboot, you’re in luck, as one of the film’s producers said in a Twitter post that there is nothing happening with the film at this time, and that any information out there about the film, simply isn’t real. I was one of the people who wasn’t really onboard with the directions the character descriptions were heading. Even so, it’s a bummer to learn that there is currently nothing going on with the film. You can check out the post below.
Nothing is happening with the movie at this time, so all news is premature. Sorry!

So, the Cole Turner character probably isn’t real at all, and Liu Kang won’t be a ninja, and most of all Sonya Blade won’t be a writer. I do wish that Kevin Tancharoen would come back aboard the project, I really enjoyed his vision of the Mortal Kombat universe, both his short film Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, an the two-season we series, Mortal Kombat: Legacy.
Mortal Kombat is one of the most popular video game franchises of all time. Debuting in 1992, the game was surrounded by controversy due to its extremely violent gameplay, and it one of the reasons we have a video game ratings system today.
