Mostly Positive Secret Invasion Reactions Say It’s ‘Marvel’s Andor’

Here is my Secret Invasion Episode 4 review and thankfully there is no mid season slog, like we've come to expect from Marvel.

It’s that time again folks! Social media reaction embargo has lifted and those that have seen Secret Invasion are positive about the show, one even calling it ‘Marvel’s Andor‘. There are of course some negative reactions also, although I had to do a bit of digging to find them. That being said, remember one very clear point. In the past, positive social media reactions have not always turned into positive reviews. Many times before I’ve posted about positive social media reactions to then post about negative reviews a week later.

With that being said, I have hope rather than hype for Secret Invasion. The comments in the post below especially caught my attention.

‘Marvel’s Andor‘ is a helluva claim, especially if you are, well, me. Andor was for me one of the very best TV series period in the last 12 months. I’d also say it’s overall my favorite piece of Star Wars, anything, since 1983’s Return of the Jedi. I mean, I’ve liked plenty of other bits of Star Wars, but I loved Andor.

I genuinely hope this is the case, and it sounds so far exactly like the series I’d hoped it would be.

Of course, that’s not the only take on Secret Invasion.

‘Looks pooped’ is a very strange criticism to make of an actor probably trying to look stressed and tired. However, just because I don’t want this take to be a good one, doesn’t mean I won’t end up agreeing by the time I watch Secret Invasion myself.

Here are a few more positive reviews. As said, there are some negative to mid takes, but they are very much so far in the minority. As also, said, that could change once the review embargo lifts, likely the day of release or the day before.

One common piece of praise I’ve seen is for Olivia Coleman. Honestly, as someone who has followed Coleman’s career from a young British TV actor, I’m not surprised. Coleman is bloody brilliant in everything.

I like dark, i like mature and complex characters. This sounds good to me. Though I’m not sure She-Hulk fans will love this one?

There are plenty more out there folks if you want to brave the wilds of social media. Whilst not everyone is calling this ‘Marvel’s Andor‘ you’ll find generally positive reactions to what has been shown so far. It also appears as though some have only seen the first two episodes and some seem to be suggestion they’ve seen the whole series. Perhaps I’m picking that up wrong, but certainly come review time you need to have seen the full run surely?

What do you think of these Secret Invasion reactions from social media? Are you hyped, or merely hopeful like me? As always, leave any thoughts below.
