Mother/Android Trailer Has Pregnant Chloë Moretz Grace Fleeing Robot Rebellion

Mother/Android

The future of robotic rebellion is inevitable. This time around, Mother/Android has a future mother played by Chloë Grace Moretz fleeing for her life and the unborn child deep into a dangerous android territory.

The movie also stars Algee Smith (Judas and the Black Messiah, Euphoria) and Raul Castillo (We The Animals). Mattson Tomlin (Project Power, Little Fish) directed the movie.

Here is the official synopsis:

Set in the near future, Mother/Android follows Georgia (Chloë Grace Moretz) and her boyfriend Sam (Algee Smith) through their treacherous journey of escape as their country is caught in an unexpected war with artificial intelligence. Days away from the arrival of their first child, they must face No Man’s Land—a stronghold of the android uprising, in hopes of reaching safety before giving birth.

It is a story we’ve seen all before about the robotic rebellion that’s been told over and over again. Despite the reused storyline, it created memorable stories for Terminator and iRobot that warn us about the evilness of artificial intelligence and the inevitable fall of humankind.

Nonetheless, Mother/Android resembles more like a fast zombie apocalypse film—only with eyes-glowing robots chasing down the masses. It could be intriguing for those into the robotic sci-fi thrillers.

Mother/Android premieres on Friday, December 17, on the Hulu streaming service.
