Today we have some Ms Marvel set photo’s to share with you. The images, from Marvel News Brazil, show Iman Vellani (Kamala Khan) dressed up as her hero Captain Marvel. These shots could be from some sort of fancy dress or cosplay situation? Khan was always a massive fan of Captain Marvel before getting her powers, so this is hardly an unexpected plot point.

I am unsure if this is Khan pre-powers or post-powers. One would assume in this instance with the wires connected it would be post-powers? Those wires could actually be there for safety instead, but I’m guessing Khan’s stretchy arms could be in play here.

I’m not super familiar with the Ms Marvel character outside of information searches and the Marvel’s Avengers game that came out this year. The story of Marvel’s Avengers I guess becomes my base line for what Ms Marvel is. I’m not sure that’s the best interpretation for Ms Marvel fans, but I thought Kahn’s story was pretty cool?

The only shocker from these shots is how young Vellani looks in this costume. Khan looks like an eight year old out for Halloween as I have seen some fans comment, and I agree. However Vellani is around 18-19 currently, so this is just how it looks. Perhaps the intention here is to show the very child-like enthusiasm Khan still has for her heroes. After all Kamala Khan wasn’t exactly smoking cig’s and drinking cheap cider in a park instead of going to school. There’s 16/17 year old and then there’s 16/17 year old’s. Khan is clearly on the more sensible but perhaps less mature side. However, again, that’s me using my base line of Marvel’s Avengers here and that may be counter to how show Khan will be portrayed?
