With the pandemic nearly over, the video game minds behind Mythic Quest are back to work on the MMORPG. Nearly back to work. Or what you may call work.
In Apple TV+’s Mythic Quest, the geeky successful show about a video game company extended season one with an extra pandemic episode. In the quarantine episode, it featured the entire staff trying to meet via online camera meetings with little success. Thus, getting little work done.
Now the entire cast returns for the second season of Mythic Quest.
Here’s the official synopsis:
With the quarantine finally over, the new season of Mythic Quest finds everyone back in the office (well, almost everyone), attempting to build upon the success of Raven’s Banquet by launching an epic new expansion, but Ian (Rob McElhenney) and the newly promoted co-creative director, Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), struggle with the game’s direction. Meanwhile, C.W. (F. Murray Abraham) reconciles some unresolved issues from his past, the testers (Ashly Burch and Imani Hakim) test the bounds of an office romance, and David (David Hornsby) loses yet another woman in his life as Jo (Jessie Ennis) leaves him to assist Brad (Danny Pudi).

For fans of the show, this was certainly a relief for Apple TV+ struggling to provide more original content in the midst of a pandemic. It was announced late last year that the shooting began in December and needed quickly to wrap early this year. Seemingly, they beat that deadline of film production in mid-January.
Co-created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Megan Ganz, Mythic Quest follows a team of video game developers navigating the challenges of running a popular video game.
A new season of Mythic Quest returns to Apple TV+ on May 7.
