Nathan Fillion Returns To ABC For A New Series

Most recently seen in the second Season of Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, Nathan Fillion will be making his return to ABC two years after his previous crime comedy drama. The series is called The Rookie and it will also be another crime comedy drama. For the moment we have not been given a release date. But ABC has released a teaser trailer for the series, check it out above!

Fillion will be playing a 40 year old guy named John who is from a small town. But after a life changing event, he pursues his dream of being a LAPD officer. Due to the fact that he is the oldest rookie on the force, he is seen as what some officers call a “walking midlife crisis”. He can get into a lot of trouble if he can’t keep up with the other officers and criminals. But with his determination and life experience, John hopes to become a success on the force.

Along with Fillion, The Rookie will star Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Sgt. Wade Gray, Mercedes Mason, Afton Williamson, Melissa O’Niel and Eric Winter. The pilot had been shot in Los Angeles and New York this past March.
