The following are rumors which contain spoilers to Avengers: Infinity War.  If you haven’t seen it yet, then turn back now!

Still here?  Great!  If you have seen the movie, you know the after-credits scene revolves around Nick Fury contacting Captain Marvel.  According to an article from CBM.com:

“Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury actually summoned Danvers at the end of the Russo brothers’ film because he thought the Skrulls were invading Earth, thanks in part to the events of the ’90s-set Captain Marvel. The rumors also suggest that Hawkeye’s time in Tokyo will be spent hunting down Yakuza members, who are none other than shapeshifting Skrulls in disguise.”

This should be taken with a grain of salt, but could be an interesting way of incorporating the Skrulls.  There has not been much indication that they will be in an upcoming movie, but it should only be a matter of time, right?
