NBC provided a special digital message to the loyal fan base of its wildly popular and successful drama series This Is Us this past Mother’s Day. Clocking in just over two minutes, the “digital exclusive” ties together key moments from the first three seasons of a series that is known for heavily emotional story arcs and an exceptionally talented cast. The exclusive features the track “I Wont’ Give Up” by Jason Mraz, which was used in the initial ad campaign for the series premiere back in 2016. Since then, the show has become one of NBC’s biggest successes, sitting at a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.7 out of 10 on IMDb.
This Is Us (created by Dan Fogelman) tells the generational story of the Pearson family, detailing how moments in the lives of husband and wife Jack and Rebecca (Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore) contrast and compare with the future lives of their adult children Kevin, Kate, and Randall (Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, and Sterling K. Brown). Rounding out the eclectic cast are astounding performances by Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, Jon Huertas, and Ron Cephas Jones. This Is Us has achieved Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy success for Brown and Jones, and the entire cast has won back-to-back Screen Actors Guild awards in 2018 and 2019 for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

With the news stating that NBC has signed the series for three seasons, the inquiries are developing as viewers and critics speculate if these three seasons will be the last of NBC’s cherished family. The loyal fans will have to wait and see what Fogelman and company have in store for the “Big Three.”
