Netflix has released an official trailer for Space Force. The streaming giant’s parody of the newest addition to the United States military. The series stars Steve Carell who is supported by a fantastic cast that includes John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome, and Diana Silvers among others.
Carell and Greg Daniels, both alums of The Office, co-created the series and give high hopes to fans of the workplace comedy.
I all in on Space Force, both the show and the actual newest branch of the U.S. Military. Mainly because in my mind it has the potential for science-fictiony type stuff. As I’ve said before, we can’t have an intergalactic war, without first having an interplanetary war. And we can’t have either of those without first having a Space Force, right?
Check out an official synopsis for the series below.
“Decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell) is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colorful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.”
