New Avengers: Infinity War Photo Shows The Guardians Tending To Thor

While the past two Avengers films and Captain America: Civil War did a great job bringing together the core Avengers to take on a bigger threat, the galactic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is something that’s been fairly separate until this year’s Thor: Ragnarok.

Next year’s Avengers: Infinity War will also see these worlds collide when the Guardians of the Galaxy meet up with Thor. We saw this moment in the first official trailer for the film (and many others also got to see some extra interaction in the D23 and San Diego Comic-Con trailers), and in a new piece from USA Today, we got a new photo showing the Guardians tending to a beaten and battered Thor.

Check it out below:

In this photo, we see both Rocket and Mantis sitting over Thor. The more important character to take note of is Mantis. As we know from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, she’s an empath, and is, therefore, able to feel the feelings of those she touches.

In this scene, she may very well be doing that with Thor so that she can feel his motives and emotions. While we may know that Thor means no harm to the Guardians, they certainly don’t, and this could be a quick way for them to skip past the parts where everyone fights each other.

What do you think of this new photo? Are you most looking forward to the Guardians interacting with Avengers? Let us know down below!
