New BTS Video Of The Upcoming DC Universe’s Animated Series Harley Quinn

Sometime this fall DC Universe will be debuting their latest original series on their streaming service, Harley Quinn. The series stars the voice of The Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn. In this series she will be attempting to leave the shadows of the Joker and make it on her own as Gotham City’s criminal “Queenpin” after her break up with him. Earlier today IGN released a behind the scenes featurette for the upcoming series which highlighted the type of comedy and action that audiences can expect. You can check it out above!

As you can see by the video, it looks like this series is going to be crazy. Lots of action, joking and of course violence. “This show is completely out of control. Harley Quinn is a blast of a character, and she’s nuts,” Cuoco says in the video. “Kaley really embraced the idea of ‘I’m gonna just give the craziest performance I can, and then start to figure out exactly where it should live,'” executive producer Justin Halpern explains. “This is a show that has supervillains and superheroes, so it needs to have awesome battles, crazy fights, and s–t exploding.”

Joining Cuoco on Harley Quinn is Ala Tudyk as Joker, Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, Rahul Kohli as Scarecrow, Sanaa Lathan as Catwoman, Diedrich Bader as Batman, Tony Hale as Doctor Psycho, Chris Meloni as Commissioner Gordon, Ron Funches as King Shark, Jim Rash as the Riddler and Jacob Tremblay as Damian Wayne. Also as part of the cast curretnly in undisclosed roles are JB Smoove, Jason Alexander, Wanda Sykes, Giancarlo Esposito and Natalie Morales.

This looks like a really fun series for long time fans of Harley Quinn. It helps that it will be streaming on their own streaming service which gives them the freedom to do whatever they want without having to deal with networks butting in to make changes or restrictions. At San Diego Comic-Con this year Harley Quinn had a small activation where you could look into some of the cells at Arkham of some of the villains who will be appearing in the series. Even though it was only a few seconds with each character they did have some funny moments that did get me a little more excited to see it.
