New Halo Spot Is Pretty Underwhelming

For a show that premieres in 2 days time, this new Halo spot is pretty underwhelming. The trailer itself felt like little more than a teaser and I expected this week we would get a full trailer to promote the shows premiere this Thursday on Paramount+. We do get this small spot released online below. However it’s a bit meh to be honest.

I feel like the marketing for Halo has been very subtle and frankly, cheap thus far. That worries me that this isn’t going to be the show that Halo fans hope it could be? As for international marketing, well, it isn’t releasing anywhere that doesn’t have Paramount + yet. That’s the majority of the world at this time, so good times, good times. Most recently as a U.K. resident I have managed to get the first three episodes of Picard on Amazon. However the newest season of Star Trek: Discovery is only available on some new app you can only get on computers, phones, tablets. I’ll just wait till that service goes bust and Discovery ends up on a bigger streaming platform.

As that the fate I have in front of me with Halo? Hell, if the show gets a poor reception it might be cancelled before I can even watch it?

So far the development of Halo has been chaotic, including where it would end up. Now we have terrible marketing and no plan for a global release schedule. This show’s going to be great and the next big thing….right?

I can only hope the show is actually a lot better than the impression I am getting from it right now. I guess some of you readers will be able to let me know comes the premiere on Thursday? What do you think of this new Halo spot? Are you excited to watch Halo on Paramount+ this Thursday? Thoughts below.
