Yesterday we shared some leaked Eternals images from merchandising for the movie. Those showed the whole team in a wide shot as well as a good look at Ikaris. Today we have some new images which show our best (artistic)look at Kingo so far. And probably even more revealing is the description of Phastos backstory from another piece of Eternals merchandise. Let’s start there shall we?

Here is that Phastos background if the above is too small to read.
“Over the centuries, Phastos has helped nudge Humanity forward technologically while always keeping his brilliance hidden in the shadows. The Eternals are a race of immortal aliens from a distance planet who arrived on Earth thousands of years ago.” The description then goes on to say the Eternals came to Earth for a purpose. “To protect Humanity from a race of alien predators called Deviants. The Eternals were alerted to the Deviant threat by the Celestials.” The Celestials are described as, “a race of cosmic builders whose fingerprints are on the very building blocks of life itself.”
Interesting! For a start I can make a guess where we will see the Celestials show up in Eternals. I’m guessing we may see flashbacks to thousands of years ago when the Eternals were told about the Deviants and Earth. This would make sense because as far as we know, none of the Celestials are left alive in the contemporary MCU? Well, not since Ego got killed anyway.

As for Phastos, he’s been nudging us along technologically, indicating the Eternals are more advanced than Humans. Oh, and here is that image of Kingo I told you about played by Kumail Nanjiani (pictured above).

Clearly this is an artistic drawing of Kingo for a kids activity book. This is the kind of content my daughter absolutely loves, though she’s more interested in Frozen than Marvel. To be honest this image tells us almost nothing, but I figured why not share it anyway?
