The new Morbius extended trailer actually looks a lot better than I expected. However, I also find it a bit too much and like most Sony movies, spoils to many little details. However, I guess that’s merely my own preference and you may feel otherwise?
Not going to lie, I could totally see this Morbius up against Holland’s Spider-Man and that actually sounds fun to me. I cannot say the same when it comes to the Sony version of Venom. However, credit where credit’s due. As someone who has almost no interest in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, I’m hard to please. This isn’t a movie I’d watch at theatres I don’t think. However I will watch it as some point when it hits a streaming service. Again, I cannot say the same for Venom or its sequel.

The recent vignette, linked above, was also pretty decent looking I have to say. Of course the part fans are really bugging out about is the inclusion of the Oscorp building. Specifically that the design is the same as used in The Amazing Spider-Man movies. Whether that means Morbius and Venom are from Garfield’s Universe, or their own, or not connected at all? I just get confused at this point and until we see how No Way Home shakes down, I don’t think we can say for certain.
Plus, Leto is always interesting to watch on screen. Check out the official synopsis for Morbius below.
One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While at first it seems to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed and Morbius’ good must override evil to conquer – or succumb to – his dark new urges.
