‘Who Is Morbius?’ New Vignette For Film Featuring Jared Leto, Character And Future Appearance Teases

Rumored Reason Morbius Was Delayed

Celebrating Marvel’s 50th anniversary of Morbius’ Marvel Comics debut to his first-ever big-screen appearance, the studio released a new vignette. This is titled, “Who Is Morbius” featuring the title actor Jared Leto that plays Dr. Michael Morbius. You can check out the clip down below!

I’ll be honest I forgot Morbius was even happening. But it’s actually right around the corner as it’s set to be released in theaters on January 28th, 2022. Leto gives us a little behind the scenes on what we can expect from the classic Marvel Spider-Man villain. Along with that, we also got a few name drops, did you catch them?

In the opening seconds of the clip we see a Daily Bugle newspaper. On the headlines on top, we see a possible reference to Rhino. As well as a question about the motives of Black Cat. Are we going to catch them in this film? Not only that but at the end of the clip, Leto teases a possible future appearance with Spider-Man. Quite a bit of talking points for such a short clip. Overall it was fun.

One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble.  While at first it seems to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed and Morbius’ good must override evil to conquer – or succumb to – his dark new urges.
