New Original Pixar Film Gets A Title And Release Date Reveal!

Holy crap, I love me some Pixar. And more than anything else, I like me some Pixar original stories. Sure, my favorite film may still be the sequel Toy Story 3, but there’s something magical about the brand-new worlds they create — the idea that before that film was a twinkle in a filmmakers’ eye that it didn’t even exist. They are one of the best studios in the biz creating original worlds, and it’s always a huge treat when we find something new of theirs announced.

On that note…here’s a nice treat for you all. The animation studio recently took to Twitter, showing off their movie set to hit next year, and unlike the tons of other projects in recent years, this is a brand-new concept. Check out the message, title, and logo below!

“One year from today, Pixar Animation Studios will take you on a journey from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms to discover the answers to life’s most important questions. Disney & Pixar’s “Soul” arrives in theaters on June 19, 2020.”

That’s a pretty beautiful title and a slick poster. sadly, there were no further details regarding the project, but you can’t stop us from speculating. Our own James Burns took one look at the logo and said “Pete Docter,” Meaning he thinks the filmmaker will be helming this new idea. Using his logic, the font resembles his other works like Monsters Inc. and Inside Out.

Well, I certainly can’t fault him on that, and I’m sure it’ll only be a matter of time before we know for sure!
